These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of products and services by Makeup Effects Lars Carlsson AB through this website. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Ordering and Payment
2.1 Order Confirmation
After placing an order, you will receive a confirmation email. We strive to keep our inventory levels accurate, but if an item is out of stock, we will inform you promptly. You will then have the option to cancel your order for a full refund or wait for the item to become available.
2.2 Payment
All products must be paid in full before any custom work or dispatch. We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit/Debit Card (via Stripe)
- PayPal
- Swish (Sweden only) — Swish number: 1231359967
- International Bank Transfer (IBAN: SE5380000832799455263924, SWIFT: ELLFSESS)
For bank transfers, work or dispatch will commence after the payment has cleared. Companies with an established relationship with Makeup-FX may be eligible for 30-day credit terms at our sole discretion.
2.3 Prices and VAT
All prices are displayed in Swedish Krona (SEK). We apply:
- 25% VAT for private customers within the EU.
- 0% VAT for companies within the EU holding a valid VAT number.
- 0% VAT for all customers outside the EU.
VAT is calculated based on your billing address.
3. Delivery Policy
3.1 Delivery Times
An estimated delivery date is provided at the time of order. For custom work, we will agree on an expected delivery time with you. If we cannot meet this deadline, you will have the option to cancel the order at no cost.
3.2 Shipping
We ship worldwide using insured and registered mail services, primarily PostNord and DHL. A tracking number will be provided in your account's order history once the parcel is dispatched.
3.3 Delays and Lost Shipments
We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), such as failures of postal services, natural disasters, or pandemics. In the event of a lost shipment, we will handle the insurance claim with the carrier. A full refund or replacement will be issued to you within 14 days of the shipment being confirmed as lost by the shipping company.
3.4 Incorrect Address and Failure to Collect
We are not responsible for non-delivery due to an incorrect address provided by you. If a parcel is returned to us because it was not collected, we will only re-ship it if you pay for the new shipping fee and any return costs. If you do not wish to pay for re-shipment within 14 days, we will refund the order value minus the original shipping cost and any return fees incurred.
4. Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
This section applies only to consumers (private individuals) in accordance with the Swedish Act on Distance Contracts and Off-Premises Contracts (Distansavtalslagen, SFS 2005:59).
4.1 Withdrawal Period
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which you take physical possession of the goods.
4.2 How to Withdraw
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us by a clear statement — for example, by sending an email to lars@makeup-fx.com. You may use the model withdrawal form at the bottom of this page, but it is not obligatory.
4.3 Effects of Withdrawal
If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs, without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we receive your withdrawal notice. Reimbursement will be made using the same payment method you used. You must return the goods to us without undue delay and within 14 days. You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
4.4 Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized (e.g., wigs with custom hairlines, styled or cut hairpieces).
- Sealed goods not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons that have been unsealed after delivery (e.g., wigs, beards, or moustaches that have been worn or handled).
We offer the option to have hairpieces sent with a security seal, which allows for inspection but not for wearing. This must be requested in the order comments at the time of purchase.
5. Return Policy
We have a strict return policy on all hair products. Returns are only accepted on hairpieces that are sealed, unaltered, and come directly from our stock — meaning they have not been worn, brushed, styled, cut, or dyed. Returns are not accepted on custom orders, styled pieces, or any product that has been unsealed for hygiene reasons.
Return authorization is always required before sending any product back. After authorization is issued, the product must be received by us within 10 days (20 days for shipments from outside the EU). Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Products returned without authorization will be returned to the customer at their expense.
The shipping costs in both directions are always at the expense of the customer and will not be refunded.
6. Defective Products
All styled or modified products are photographed before dispatch. If you believe a product is defective, you must notify us within three days of delivery. After receiving a return authorization, the product must be returned within 10 days (20 days from outside the EU). If the product is confirmed defective due to a manufacturing fault, we will provide a replacement and refund your return shipping costs. Products damaged through misuse or improper handling will not be exchanged or refunded.
Please note that small holes in the lace (up to 4 threads wide) are a normal characteristic of handmade lace products and do not constitute a defect.

8. Dispute Resolution
We aim to resolve any issues directly with you. If we are unable to reach an agreement, you have the right to submit your complaint to the National Board for Consumer Disputes:

9. Governing Law
These Terms and any contract between us are governed by Swedish law. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Swedish courts.
